Belongings

As I pack up to move our family across the ocean, I am realizing how much stuff we have collected and how much we hold onto material things. If we had to take to chose one item, or even one suitcase, it would be such a challenge. We need to ask what we hold onto and why? Is it really worth it? Holding onto creations distracts us from relying on the Creator. Everything on earth will perish, except for the Face of Allah.
May Allah always guide us and keep us focused on what really matters in life, Ameen

Big Announcement

It is with mixed emotions that I can officially announce that our homeschool will be crossing the ocean to settle (temporarily) in Malaysia inshaAllah.  My husband and our three kids and I will be going there as he had a job offer which we could not turn down.  It goes without saying that leaving family, friends and the familiarity of home is very difficult... but we have trust in Allah that He is the best of Planners and He has paved the way for us and eased our affairs so far.
I truly believe that travelling enriches a persons life and I feel so blessed to be able to give my kids this opportunity. Im excited for the beaches and sight seeing and even the rainforest treks! But Im also grateful thatt my kids will be able to be exposed to things they will never get the chance to be exposed to here.  InshaAllah our family intends to help out with an amazing project called Charity Right... please visit their website here.
